Day 1: Into the Amazon & First Jungle Experiences

Your journey begins in Iquitos, where you’ll head straight into the Amazon by boat. As you travel along the river, the environment shifts quickly—dense rainforest, wildlife along the banks, and your first chance to spot pink river dolphins in their natural habitat.

The day moves fast with hands-on experiences, including a visit to Monkey Island, wildlife viewing along the river, and time spent navigating the Amazon’s waterways. In the afternoon, you’ll try traditional piranha fishing and may even have the opportunity to swim in the river.

After sunset, the rainforest transforms. You’ll head out on a nocturnal jungle hike, where the forest comes alive with insects, amphibians, and other night-active species—one of the most memorable parts of the experience.

Day 2: Sunrise, Jungle Trek & Return to Iquitos

Your final day begins early with a sunrise over the Amazon—when the jungle is at its most active. You’ll head out for a guided jungle hike, exploring deeper into the rainforest while learning about plant life, wildlife, and how the ecosystem functions.

Later in the day, you’ll visit a local Amazonian community, gaining insight into how people live and adapt in this environment. You’ll also encounter unique plant species like the massive Victoria Regia and continue wildlife observation along the river.

By afternoon, you’ll return to Iquitos by boat—leaving the jungle behind, but with a real understanding of what it feels like to experience it firsthand, even in just two days.
