Day 1: Into the Amazon: Arrival & First Contact

Your journey begins in Iquitos, the gateway to the Amazon Rainforest and the largest city in the world unreachable by road. From here, you’ll travel by boat along the Amazon River, leaving behind civilization as the jungle quickly takes over. Along the way, your first wildlife encounters begin—river birds overhead, dense rainforest lining the banks, and the possibility of spotting pink river dolphins in their natural habitat.

By the afternoon, you’ll arrive deep within the Amazon basin and settle into your first jungle base. After sunset, the rainforest transforms. You’ll head out on a guided nocturnal jungle hike, where the sounds intensify and the forest reveals a completely different side—frogs, insects, and nocturnal creatures active under the cover of darkness.

Day 2: Wildlife Exploration & River Life

Wake up to the sounds of the rainforest—howler monkeys in the distance and birds calling through the canopy. After breakfast, you’ll venture deeper into the jungle by boat and on foot, exploring remote areas rich in biodiversity.

This day is focused on hands-on Amazon experiences: navigating narrow waterways by canoe, learning to spot wildlife hidden in plain sight, and trying your hand at traditional piranha fishing in the river. In the afternoon, you’ll have the chance to swim in the Amazon and observe pink dolphins up close in their natural environment.

As night falls, you’ll head out again—this time by boat—for a caiman spotting excursion, scanning the riverbanks for glowing eyes in the dark.

Day 3: Deep Jungle Trek & Survival Skills

Today takes you further off the grid. With your guide, you’ll trek deep into untouched rainforest terrain, far beyond typical tourist routes. This is where the Amazon becomes real—dense vegetation, towering trees, and an ecosystem that feels completely alive.

You’ll learn practical jungle survival techniques used by locals for generations: identifying medicinal plants, understanding animal tracks, and navigating the forest without modern tools. Along the way, your guide will break down the complex balance of the Amazon ecosystem in a way that’s both educational and tangible.

By evening, you’ll set up camp in the jungle itself—sleeping under the canopy, surrounded by the raw sounds of the rainforest.

Day 4: Remote Camping & True Amazon Immersion

Waking up deep in the jungle is a completely different experience—no distant noise, just pure rainforest. After a simple breakfast, the day continues with exploration of even more remote areas, where wildlife encounters become more frequent and less predictable.

You’ll travel through flooded forest zones (season depending), navigate narrow tributaries, and observe unique plant life that thrives in this environment. This is also where birdwatching becomes exceptional, with opportunities to see species rarely found closer to populated areas.

The day ends with another night fully immersed in the jungle, reinforcing the off-grid nature of this Amazon camping experience.

Day 5: Culture & Connection with the Amazon

After returning closer to the river, today introduces the human side of the Amazon. You’ll visit a local community, gaining insight into how people live in one of the most remote environments on earth.

This isn’t a staged experience—it’s a real look into daily life, traditions, and survival in the rainforest. You’ll learn about local customs, food, and the deep relationship between people and the jungle that surrounds them.

Later in the day, you’ll continue with wildlife excursions and relaxed exploration along the river, balancing cultural insight with nature-based activities.

Day 6: Lagoons, Giant Trees & Hidden Ecosystems

Today is about discovering some of the Amazon’s most unique natural features. You’ll explore remote lagoons and flooded ecosystems, areas known for high concentrations of wildlife and plant diversity.

A guided hike will take you to massive ancient trees—giants of the rainforest that have stood for centuries. These locations are some of the most photogenic and awe-inspiring parts of the journey.

Throughout the day, your guide will continue to layer in knowledge about the Amazon Rainforest, connecting everything you’ve experienced so far into a deeper understanding of this complex environment.

Day 7: Sunrise & Return to Iquitos

Your final morning begins with one last Amazon sunrise—arguably the most peaceful moment of the entire experience. After breakfast, you’ll begin the journey back toward Iquitos by boat.

As the jungle slowly transitions back into the outskirts of the city, you’ll leave with a completely different perspective—not just having seen the Amazon, but having lived in it.

This 7-day jungle camping tour is not a typical trip—it’s a full immersion into one of the most biodiverse and untouched environments on Earth, designed for travelers who want to experience the Amazon beyond the surface.
