4-Day | Pacaya Samiria Adventure

From $700 USD

A 4 day Pacaya Samiria tour in Peru is designed as a full reserve-level expedition, offering extended time inside one of the Amazon’s most protected and biodiverse regions. With multiple days of exploration and camping, this experience allows for deeper access to remote areas where wildlife activity is more consistent and the environment remains largely untouched.

Departing from Iquitos, the journey moves through the Amazon River and into the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, where extended time creates a stronger and more continuous connection to the rainforest. This tour is ideal for travelers seeking a more immersive and in-depth Amazon experience.

CHECK AVAILABILITY

Day 1: Transfer to Pacaya Samiria & Jungle Entry

Your journey begins in Iquitos with a ground transfer to Nauta, followed by a boat ride deep into the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.

As you enter protected zones, wildlife sightings begin—river birds, monkeys, and pink river dolphins along the way.

You’ll explore by boat and on foot, getting your first introduction to the ecosystem before settling into a jungle camping setup.

A nighttime excursion follows, where the rainforest comes alive with nocturnal activity.

Day 2: Full-Day Exploration & Wildlife Activity

You’ll start early, when the jungle is most active.

The day is spent navigating rivers, lagoons, and flooded forest areas by boat or canoe—maximizing opportunities to observe wildlife and fish for species like piranha.

With more time in the field, your guide adjusts locations and timing to increase encounters and build a deeper experience.

Day 3: Remote Zones, Culture & Deeper Immersion

With multiple days behind you, the experience expands further.

You’ll move into more remote zones, continue wildlife exploration, and refine how you navigate and understand the environment.

This day may also include interaction with a local Amazonian community, offering insight into how people live and adapt within the reserve.

Another night is spent fully immersed in the jungle.

Day 4: Final Exploration & Return to Iquitos

Your final morning begins with one last excursion—wildlife observation, birdwatching, or a short jungle trek.

Afterward, you’ll begin the return journey by boat and vehicle back to Iquitos, gradually transitioning out of the rainforest.
