Departing from Iquitos, the journey moves through the Amazon River and into the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, where extended time creates a continuous connection to the rainforest. This tour is ideal for travelers seeking a more advanced and immersive Amazon experience.
Your journey begins in Iquitos with a ground transfer to Nauta, followed by a boat ride deep into the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.
As you enter protected zones, wildlife sightings begin—river birds, monkeys, and pink river dolphins.
You’ll explore by boat and on foot before settling into a jungle camping setup. A nighttime excursion introduces you to the Amazon after dark.
An early start puts you on the water during peak activity.
You’ll navigate deeper into the reserve by boat, observing wildlife along riverbanks and exploring lagoons. Activities may include piranha fishing and canoe exploration.
By now, the environment becomes more active and encounters more consistent.
With more time in the field, you move further into less pressured areas.
You’ll combine jungle trekking, lagoon exploration, and wildlife observation—while learning how to read the environment through your guide.
This is where the experience shifts from exploration to understanding.
By this stage, everything comes together—access, movement, and experience.
You’ll continue exploring remote zones, focusing on wildlife activity, birdwatching, and deeper interaction with the ecosystem.
This is often one of the most rewarding days of the trip.
Your final morning includes one last excursion—wildlife observation or a short jungle trek.
Afterward, you’ll begin the return journey by boat and vehicle back to Iquitos, gradually transitioning out of the rainforest after five full days inside the reserve.
We require a 50% deposit to hold your reservation that can be made with any major credit card, when we receive your payment we will send you a payment confirmation via email. The remaining balance will be due at the time of (or before) your arrival to Iquitos.
