Cusco: Gateway to the Inca Wonders
Cusco is a destination that deserves to be explored with time. To fully enjoy the city, the Sacred Valley, and the incredible Machu Picchu—without rushing—we recommend a minimum stay of 5 days and 4 nights. This gives you the chance to explore at a comfortable pace while allowing time to acclimate to the altitude: Cusco at 3,399 m, Sacred Valley around 2,800 m, Machu Picchu at 2,430 m. That said, if you have fewer days available, no worries—just contact us and we’ll be happy to tailor your experience to fit your schedule.
Keep in mind that entrance tickets to Machu Picchu sell out quickly, so we strongly recommend booking your tour in advance!

Cusco, once the heart of the Inca Empire, is a city brimming with history, culture, and charm. At an altitude of 3,399 meters, it’s a blend of colonial architecture and ancient Incan structures. The city itself is a UNESCO World Heritage site, offering travelers a unique experience with its cobbled streets, colorful markets, and stunning churches. From the famous Plaza de Armas to the Temple of the Sun (Qorikancha), Cusco is an essential starting point for anyone exploring the Andes.
Sacred Valley
Just a short drive from Cusco, the Sacred Valley is a picturesque region that offers lush landscapes, traditional Andean villages, and iconic archaeological sites. With altitudes ranging from 2,700 to 2,900 meters, the valley provides a more relaxed pace for acclimatization before heading to higher altitudes. Explore the ancient ruins of Ollantaytambo, the terraces of Moray, and the salt mines of Maras. The Sacred Valley is also home to vibrant markets, where you can experience the local culture, food, and crafts.
