Maniti Expeditions is constantly working to protect the pristine environment that surrounds our area. Together our donations help support reforestation (planting of native trees), rescue & rehabilitation of orphaned wildlife, medical attention & releif efforts in the local communities for those who seek it, purchasing and distribution of educational classroom supplies, community health worker training, environmental education awareness for adults and children, the promotion & protection of human rights and preserving the overall wellbeing of the Amazon Rainforest and its communities.
Non-profit, non-sectarian and non-political organization dedicated to humanitarian, conservation, education and research activities in the Peruvian Amazon. Dedicated to supporting the livelihoods and the futures of people living in remote areas of the Peruvian Amazon. Through regular and sustained medical programs and health worker training, as well as through community-level education and sustainable development initiatives, we work to improve quality of life.
In collaboration with the Dallas World Aquarium Our work is comprised of four primary functions, which we call “The 4 R’s of Recovery” which are the “Rescue” of injured or orphaned wildlife, the “Rehabilitation” of those animals during their stay at our center, and the successful “Release” and monitoring those animals back to their natural habitats. The forth “R”, “Raising Awareness”, is perhaps the most critically important aspect of our work, which is educating the local community through outreach, environmental education programs, and ecotourism about the care, condition and conservation status of Amazonian wildlife.
People of Peru Project is vigilant in the fight against human trafficking and exploitation of children. Many are left alone to survive on the streets or in the surrounding jungle with no parent or family unit to provide care. We work with the local government, social workers and the family court to identify and care for the young girls and their babies who have no support system. Thanks to our amazing volunteers and supporters we are able to provide medical and dental care to thousands, education for disadvantaged children, health education to communities and opportunities for spiritual growth, to those who are searching.
At the Rainforest Alliance we combat climate change, protect forests and biodiversity, promote human rights, and improve livelihoods. The enormity of the social and environmental challenges we are facing requires working together in a broad alliance. This is why we bring farmers, forest communities, companies, and consumers together to change the way the world produces, sources, and consumes. Thank you for supporting our mission.
