EXPLORE LIMA

Lima, once known as “The City of Kings”, is the vibrant capital of Peru, beautifully situated along the shores of the Pacific Ocean. The city’s scenic coastline offers stunning ocean views and is home to some of Lima’s most iconic districts, including Miraflores and Barranco.

As the main gateway to Peru, Lima is served by Jorge Chávez International Airport, one of the busiest in Latin America, providing easy access to travelers from around the globe.

Lima’s historical center, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is full of colonial-era gems like the Plaza Mayor, Cathedral of Lima, and San Francisco Monastery, each telling a part of the city’s fascinating past.

For a more modern vibe, Miraflores is a vibrant district known for its parks, shopping centers, and scenic spots like the Cliffside Malecon, offering breathtaking views of the Pacific. Here, you’ll also find Lima’s top restaurants, including Central, Maido, and Astrid y Gastón, which put the city at the forefront of the global culinary scene.

Barranco, on the other hand, is Lima’s bohemian heart, with colorful streets, art galleries, and lively nightlife. It’s the perfect place to experience the city’s creative spirit, enjoy street art, and explore its cozy cafes and bars.

Lima offers a unique blend of history, modernity, and coastal beauty, with something for every traveler, whether you're strolling through its historical streets, enjoying world-class food, or relaxing by the ocean.

Packing Tips for Your Trip to Lima

Lima is a coastal city with a humid, overcast climate most of the year. Bring a light jacket, comfortable shoes, and sunscreen. If you plan to visit fancy restaurants or bars, don’t forget to pack more elegant attire. Also, if you're heading to coastal areas or the Ballestas Islands, a light jacket might come in handy due to the wind. Don’t forget a plug adapter if you're traveling from abroad.
